The Bittersweet Art of Receiving
“To let go does not mean to get rid of. To let go means to let be. When we let be with compassion, things come and go on their own.” – Jack Kornfield
How can it be that Letting Go leads to Receiving?
Hands open Hands close
They open and they are filled They close around the seeking's fulfillment The bounty absorbed becomes the transforming energy Sustainer of life The hands closes tighter as its content disappears in sublimation Until the fully closed hand hold only fragments The transforming engine is low on fuel
Let the hand open Like the flower at dawn Let the remnants fall to the earth to feed the grasses, the mushrooms and the 6 legged ones And let the empty palm once again face upward With a fragile hope in an unknown benefactor And the Wheel of Life has turned once more
